The City has spent $616,596.50 utilizing the previous Bid #16-34DD from November 28, 2016 through November 27, 2021

X.1) Public Hearing Re: Proposed Ordinance No. 21-5369, amending the Zoning Code (2002 Edition) of the City of Sarasota to incorporate recommendations of the Tree Advisory Committee as more fully specified herein, including: decreasing size of required replacement trees; changing the methodology for determining required mitigation to be based on total aggregate inches of tree diameter removed; allowing residential property owners to remove trees for re-landscaping; creating site evaluation and species selection criteria for replacement trees; creating a category of trees called Incentive trees and encouraging the planting of such trees through a mitigation multiplier credit; creating a category of Undesirable Trees and discouraging the planting of such tress and encouraging the removal of such trees; amending definition of Grand Tree; allowing additional building height for the preservation of Grand Trees; creating Canopy Road Recognition Program; adding special provisions applicable to palm trees; amending statement of purpose for tree protection; allowing variances for tree preservation as more fully specified herein; amending Landscaping Division to resolve conflicts; providing for severability, etc. (Title Only)
X.2) Public Hearing Re: Proposed Ordinance No. 22-5402, amending the Zoning Code (2002 Edition) of the City of Sarasota, Article VI, Zone Districts, Division 10, Downtown Zone Districts, Map VI-1001, Primary/Secondary Street Grid, to make modifications to the map in the nature of adding and removing streets to be designated as Primary Grid Streets; providing for severability of the parts hereof, etc. (Title Only) (Application No. 22-ZTA-02, Applicant: City of Sarasota)
X.3) Public Hearing Re: Proposed Ordinance No. 22-5403, amending the Sarasota City Code, Chapter 30, Streets, Sidewalks, and Other Public Places, Article II, Right-of-Way Permits and Fees, Section 30-22, Sidewalk Cafe Permits to require applicants for Sidewalk Cafe Permits to provide the total square footage of the requested permit area with an application for a Sidewalk Cafe Permit; To allow space heaters within the permit area; to prohibit advertising of alcoholic beverages in accordance with State Statute; and to add an optional process whereby the City Engineer may refer alleged violations of Section 30-22 to the Code Compliance Division instead of revoking the Sidewalk Cafe Permit; providing for severability, etc. (Title Only)
X.4) Public Hearing Re: Proposed Ordinance No. 22-5404, amending the Zoning Code (2002 Edition) of the City of Sarasota by amending and re-stating previously adopted Ordinance 20-5337 regarding accessory dwelling units to clarify that the requirement that an applicant for a building permit to construct an accessory dwelling unit shall supply the City with an Affidavit as more fully specified therein shall apply only to accessory units located in the RSF-E, RSF-1, RSF-2, RSF-3 and RSF-4 Zone Districts and shall not apply to accessory dwelling units located within other zone districts; and to further clarify that such Affidavit shall not require an accessory unit to be rented; providing for severability of the parts hereof; etc. (Title Only)
