X.1) Public Hearing Re: Proposed Ordinance No. 21-5369, amending the Zoning Code (2002 Edition) of the City of Sarasota to incorporate recommendations of the Tree Advisory Committee and City Staff as more fully specified herein, including: decreasing size of required replacement trees; changing the methodology for determining required mitigation; allowing residential property owners to remove trees for re-landscaping; creating site evaluation and species selection criteria for replacement trees; creating a category of trees called Recommended Trees; creating a category of Undesirable Trees and discouraging the planting of such trees and encouraging the removal of such tree; amending Definition of Grand Tree; creating a definition of Canopy Tree; creating Canopy Road Recognition Program; amending statement of purpose for tree protection; allowing variances for tree preservation as more fully specified herein; amending Landscaping Division to resolve conflicts; providing for severability, etc. (Title Only)
