X) LEGISLATIVE PUBLIC HEARINGS:
X.1) Public Hearing Re: Proposed Resolution No. 24R-3234, authorizing transmittal of proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendment Application No. 23-PA-02 to the state reviewing agencies for review and comment; said application being a request for amendments to the Future Land Use Chapter of the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Sarasota [A/K/A The Sarasota City Plan (2030)], to revise the text of subsection (4) of Action Strategy 1.10, Site Specific Limitations, to be consistent with current policy in regard to the time period for affordability and timing of tenant income monitoring reports for attainable dwelling units by extending the affordability period from fifteen years to thirty years and by removing quarterly verification reporting requirements, all for the real property located at 300 and 508 Audubon Place, as well as 2211 Fruitville Road, etc. (Title Only) (Application No. 23-PA-02, Applicant: City of Sarasota)
X.2) Public Hearing Re: Proposed Resolution No. 24R-3247, authorizing transmittal of proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendment application No. 23-PA-06 to the state reviewing agencies for review and comment; said application being a request for amendments to the Future Land Use Chapter of the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Sarasota [a/k/a the Sarasota City Plan], to revise text in the Metropolitan Regional Future Land Use Classification Site No. 9, Regional Shopping Center, by adding development consisting of retail, office, residential, mixed-use development and/or support facilities associated with mixed-use development accompanied by an amendment to Action Strategy 1.10, Site Specific Limitations, to add thereto a new subsection (8) to memorialize the applicant's proffer that ten percent (10%) of the residential dwelling units constructed on the site will be designated as attainable housing units, all for the real property located at 3501 S. XII.1) Adoption Re: Proposed Resolution No. 24R-3259, designating the City's Code Compliance Special Magistrate to serve as a local hearing officer pursuant to Chapter 2023-174, Laws of Florida; creating the position of Clerk to the local public hearing officer as required by applicable law; authorizing the City Manager to utilize existing staff to implement 2024 legislative changes regarding school zone speed detection systems, etc. (Title Only)
