VII.1) Adoption Re: Second Reading of Proposed Ordinance No. 24-5533, amending Chapter 11, Building and Building Regulations, Article III, pertaining to organization and jurisdiction of the Board of Rules and Appeals; amending the membership requirements; amending the quorum requirement; deleting subsection relating to contractor certificate of competency; deleting subsections pertaining to contractor discipline; repealing ordinances in conflict; providing for the severability of parts hereof if declared invalid or unenforceable, etc (Title Only)

X.1) Public Hearing Re: Proposed Ordinance No. 25-5558, amending the Zoning Code (2002 Edition), Article VII, Regulations of General Applicability, Division 7, Public Art, so as to allow additional developer options to provide public art, define the role of the Planning Director, clarify the Public Art approval process, exceptions, and additions, and to allow the Public Art Fund to support the advancement of the adopted 2030 Public Art Plan and all actions associated with operations and stewardship of the public art collection; providing for severability of the parts hereof, etc. (Title Only) (Application No. 24-ZTA-07, Applicant: City of Sarasota)
XI) QUASI-JUDICIAL PUBLIC HEARINGS:
XI.1) Public Hearing Re: Proposed Resolution 25R-3308, approving G Zone Waiver Application No. 24-GZW-01 to allow dock pilings to be up to 14.5 feet above mean high water in contravention of the Zoning Code limitation of 10.5 feet, and to allow the seawall to be up to 6.1 feet above the mean low watermark in contravention of the Zoning Code limitation of 5 feet; all upon real property located at 1059 N. Tamiami Trail, commonly known as The Bay Park in the Governmental (G) Zone District; providing for conditions of approval, etc. (Title Only) AND Affirmation of the Planning Board Resolution recommending approval of Major Conditional Use Application No. 25-CU-02 to allow construction and operation of a floating day dock along the southern seawall of the existing boat basin on real property with a street address of 1059 N. Tamiami Trail, commonly known as The Bay Park, as docks which exceed the limitations found within Section VII-1302 (18), Zoning Code (2002 Edition) require a major conditional use in the Governmental (G) Zone District; approving Site Plan Application No. 25-Sp-05 regarding said use; providing for conditions of approval (Application Nos. 24-GZW-01, 25-CU-02 & 25-SP-05) (Applicant Philip DiMaria, as agent representing the Bay Park Conservancy)
XI.2) Public Hearing Re: Proposed Resolution No. 25R-3309, granting a special permit pursuant to Section VII-1304, City of Sarasota Zoning Code (2002 Edition) to construct a seawall and necessary appurtenances on the real property located at 1215 Westway Drive as described more particularly herein, etc. (Title Only) (NOTE: THIS PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE CONTINUED TO THE FEBRUARY 18, 2025 REGULAR CITY COMMISSION MEETING)
